Infinite canvas
The working area of a whiteboard, with no edges. You can move it in any direction, zoom in and zoom out.
Also called: canvas, infinite canvas, whiteboard, online whiteboard, board, miro, figjam, zoom, zoom in, zoom out, scale, pan
What it is for
A normal page runs out of room, but a board always has more: pan the canvas and keep working next to what is already there. Zoom out to see the whole diagram at once, or zoom in to look closely at a single sticky note. The current zoom level is usually shown in a corner, next to the “+” and “−” buttons.
Where you see it
- Miro — a shared board for workshops and retrospectives
- FigJam — a canvas for diagrams and brainstorming
- Figma — the workspace where the designs live
