Connectors

A line or arrow between two objects on a board. Move an object, and the line follows it.

Also called: connector, connectors, connection, link between blocks, arrow between blocks, line between blocks, line between shapes, connect, connecting line, diagram, flowchart, flow chart

What it is for

Connectors turn a pile of sticky notes into a diagram: you can see what leads to what and in which order. The line is attached to the objects, so you can rearrange the diagram without the links breaking. Lines can be straight, curved or stepped, with or without an arrowhead, and with a label in the middle.

Where you see it

  • draw.io and FigJam — process flowcharts
  • Mind maps — branches growing from the central idea
